Gregor Hens

Gregor Hens, born in 1965 in Cologne, taught for over two decades at various American universities of linguistics and literature and most recently at Ohio State University. Since 2013, he has been working as a freelance author and literary translator in Berlin. Among others, he has translated the works of Leonard Cohen, Jonathan Lethem and Kurt Vonnegut. For his translation of Will Self’s “Shark,” he was on the short list of the Translator’s Prize of the Leipzig Book Fair. Most recently, he published “Nikotin” (“Nicotine”) which was translated into six languages.
