Leander Scholz, born in 1969 in Aachen, is a philosopher and writer. He was awarded the Bonn University Prize (GEFFRUB) for his doctorate on Political Science of Prudence. He has written several novels, is the cofounder of Tropen Verlag and a freelancer for Deutschlandfunk (German World Service). In 2012, he qualified as a professor with his work on the problematic nature of death in political philosophy since modern times in the Media Faculty at Die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Bauhaus University Weimar). He lives in Berlin with his wife and son.
